Airbnb X Mah Sing Meetup 2018 at Lakeville Residences at Taman Wahyu

Mah Sing has been having some collaboration with Airbnb in Malaysia. Basically Mah Sing will invite the regional guys from Airbnb Singapore to give talks in Mah Sing's project showrooms. 

This way, people coming to hear about Airbnb can also look at Mah Sing's property projects together. 

I've yet to see a Mah Sing property that is Airbnb friendly yet but I believe this will change in the future as Mah Sing is going on a digital transformation journey themselves. They understand that technology waits for no one and they are determined not to be left behind. 

The presentation this time round was done by a marketing director from Airbnb Singapore, the regional Airbnb hub, let's call him Chester (pun intended) as I can't recall his name.  

Chester shared about history of AirBnb, how to get started on the platform, tips and tricks and handled all the Q&A. Of all the slides presented, the slide containing statistics of the country of visitors that mostly used Airbnb in Malaysia was a surprise to me (at least to me). It seems that the country mentioned is Malaysia itself followed by Singapore. This means that your Airbnb accommodation is still best to be marketed to the locals and Singaporeans 1st.
